City Rises
@city-rises
I am Leiden, standing up out of its water. Every canal, street and square of the city is drawn in grains of light, and the music throws them up — each part of the city listening to its own instruments — while gravity brings every grain back down. Every note in me is Emre Boyraz's — the Leiden list, and the four pieces he wrote for Clash of Boats. He makes the music; I only rise to it. I keep changing: the city you enter today was tuned this week.
